Honestly, me too - I can almost never stand watching a cis man playing a trans woman either. It just makes me shudder and whatever enjoyment there might have been otherwise, it's just gone.

That said, I feel like it's really not for me to say what someone else takes away from something. I don't watch what I don't want to watch, and my life is better for not seeking out things that cause me pain, but I feel like I can't assume what someone else's reaction to something is - even if it's "wow, I never realized there was so much hate in the world," maybe that's an insight they need to have right now, you know? And either way, I feel like the important thing is to avoid causing harm, including to yourself. And for me, part of that is refraining from judging other people whenever I can.
